Our Mission Statement: 

This organization strives to enhance the physical, mental, and social education for all students of Pepper Ridge Elementary School, while promoting open communication between the administration, teachers, and parents.

President, Jeni Carlson

 

Jeni has served the last three years as PTA Treasurer and as Vice President.  She is very excited to be the President this year!  Jeni and her husband Todd have two boys, Cody, who is in the 10th grade and Cooper, who is in the 4th grade.  Jeni loves spending time with her family and her dog, Lady.  She is very active with her boys and their many various activities.  Jeni enjoys gardening and baking, and if you ever have the opportunity to taste one of her yummy dishes don't pass it up!  Jeni is dedicated and loyal to our school, she gives so much of her time and energy into helping make Pepper Ridge Elementary a fun and safe environment for education.

Vice President, Brittany Ward 


 

Brittany Ward is excited to return this year as the new PTA Vice President.  She can often be found at Pepper Ridge doing PTA work or volunteering in her kids’ classrooms.  Her son Bailey is in the 6th grade and her daughter Chloey is in the 3rd grade.  She enjoys working with kids and is currently employed with Parker Portraits taking elementary school photographs in the fall and spring.  When she's not working for Parker Portraits, she enjoys working as an over crowded aide at Pepper Ridge.  When she finds “me time” she enjoys photography, boating, scuba diving, hiking/backpacking, playing piano, quilting, making jewelry, making crafts and just about anything else that makes a large mess on her kitchen table.

Volunteer and Membership Coordinator, Janet Erickson

Janet and her husband, R.B. have four children.  Spencer is in the 7th grade at Lewis and Clark Middle School.  Drew is in the 5th grade, Brooklynne, 3rd, and Landon is in 1st grade.  Janet enjoys spending time with her family doing anything in the outdoors.  They enjoy skiing, camping, riding bikes, playing games as a family.  They also enjoy supporting each other in sporting events.  They had a great family vacation while visiting Yellowstone National Park and spotted all but one state’s license plate (where is Kentucky?)  Some of Janet’s hobbies and likes include gardening, landscaping, cooking and baking (eating, too, of course) running, cycling, and reading.

Treasurer, Valerie LaVigne

 

This is Valerie's second year serving on the PTA Board as Treasurer.  Valerie loves organization and numbers so serving as Treasurer has been a great fit.  Valerie and her husband, David, have three boys.  Jack is in the 6th grade and their twin boys, Luke and Cole are in the 3rd grade.  You won’t find Valerie scrapbooking or sewing; Valerie and her family love to play in the outdoors!  During summer, it’s boating, camping, soccer and spending time in Cascade.  Winter is all about the snow with skiing at Bogus and snowmobiling. Valerie also enjoys going horseback riding for solitude and to enjoy the beauty of Idaho. She combines her love of animals and the outdoors by contracting as a pet sitter/dog walker.  Valerie enjoys volunteering at Pepper Ridge and is looking forward to a great year with a new Board.

Secretary, Stacey Hill-Perez 

Stacey Hill-Perez has spent the last few years as PRE's Boxtop Coordinator but has decided to try something new as PTA secretary.  She has six kids who are working their way through Pepper Ridge - Allie-12, James-10, Cameron-8, Emily-8, (they want everyone to know they are NOT twins!) Ella-4 and Madilyn-2.  She loves hanging out with her family in many ways and they LOVE to travel.  This summer they visited the Oregon Coast, Eastern Idaho, Utah, and Vancouver Canada.  She also enjoys gardening, which you can check out from the school playground.  She lives in the big, blue house with lots of bushes and even more toys!  She is excited to play a greater roll at Pepper Ridge and hopes to help enhance everyone's experiences with PRE.

PTA Board Descriptions

 A new PTA Board is elected each spring. The Board members are volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to improving our children’s school environment. Please use the form provided to begin the nomination process for any PTA board position.


President
Sets the tone for the organization by managing meetings, and forming committees for PTA sponsored events and programs.
 
Vice President
Assists the president with events and programs, as needed, and oversees the fundraising events.
 
Treasurer
Tracks & categorizes incoming/outgoing money while keeping receipts and records of the PTA finances.  Duties include balancing bank statements and preparing reports.
 
Secretary
Records meeting minutes, helps prepare meeting agendas, prepares information for newsletters and the PTA website and other notes/records as needed, assists with events and management.
 
Volunteer Coordinator
Manages PTA volunteer list to help match up volunteers with school events and programs.
